The main area of the Help Center includes questions and answers to computer questions. Some questions are added by the Sharpened.net editor, but most submissions come from visitors like you. The questions are organized into the following categories:
Hardware - Questions about computer hardware, peripheral devices, and upgrading your system.
Software - Questions about installing software, using programs, and working with files and folders.
Storage - Questions about hard drives, optical media, USB keychains, flash media, and other storage devices.
Displays - Questions about CRT monitors, flat screen LCD displays, and video card issues.
Laptops - Questions about portable, or notebook computers.
Internet - Questions about connecting to the Internet and using different Internet services, such as online chat and FTP.
Web - Questions about Web browsers and issues related to surfing the World Wide Web.
E-mail - Questions about configuring e-mail programs, sending/receiving e-mail, and e-mail attachments.
General Questions - Questions about computing concepts and other general inquiries.
All files in Windows and Mac OS X have filename extensions tacked on to the end of the filename. For example, a Microsoft Word document might be called "document1.doc" and a text file may be called "readme.txt." While these extensions are often hidden, they are useful to know. The list of filename extensions explains what the file extension means and what program or programs can open the file.

While ".com" is by far the most recognized domain suffix, there are dozens of other suffixes that are used in the U.S. and across the globe. If you see a domain name ending in something strange, such as ".de" or ".jp," you can use the list of domain suffixes to find out what it means and possibly where the site is located.
